NLT: A psalm of David, regarding the time David fled from his son Absalom. O Lord, I have so many enemies; so many are against me.
NIV: LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me!
KJV: Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

NLT: I lay down and slept. I woke up in safety, for the Lord was watching over me.
NIV: I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.
KJV: I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
NLT: I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies who surround me on every side.
NIV: I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.
KJV: I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
NLT: Arise, O Lord! Rescue me, my God! Slap all my enemies in the face! Shatter the teeth of the wicked!
NIV: Arise, LORD! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.
KJV: Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
NLT: Victory comes from you, O Lord. May your blessings rest on your people. Interlude
